Recently, we conducted our first photo shoot at our studio in anime style. As the one who processes the photos I had to take a crash course and get acquainted with the methods the anime style.
Typically, with this style, very bright clothes and make-up are used, mimic and reflect an anime character, however we tried something a little different.

Anime terms
JRPG - Japan Role Playing Game. It is a kind of role-playing game that involves a very deep, sophisticated plot and all visual design is designed in the anime style.
Anime is cartoon-style design, created and designed in Japanese style. Moreover, here you can tap into different scenarios, which are not typical for western animation. To clarify, we will call all drawings, made in Japanese style, as anime-style.
Manga is black and white Japanese comics. By the way, Japanese people also call western comics manga.
Steampank is a style, which describes a high tech style, based on steam. If we draw a historical parallel, we would say this style is close to the end of 19 and the beginning of 20 century.
Cyberpunk is a style, which describes the fantastic future where computerization, global networks and global corporations are the main attributes. The implantation of electronic devices in the human body, and virtual reality are a common element.
Doubutsu is anime about mannish "fuzzy" creatures. The most popular example is Pokémon.
Mecha is a complicated mechanism with giant, towering machines and robot-like characters. Transformers define this style.
Sentai (group or team) is an anime about the adventures of this team, fighting with anyone or anything.
Spocon is anime about young sportsmen, achieving success through sheer will and determination to win.
Senen is anime for the teenage boys. It is the most common anime. The main characters usually are boys and girls in the age of 12 - 17 years.
Harem senen is a senen, based on the story about a boy who is not popular or with the in-crowd, who suddenly, because of certain circumstances, becomes popular and is surrounded by all the girls. Some of these girls are indifferent to him.
Seinen is senen for high school students. It is more mature than ordinary senen.
Sedze is anime for girls. It is usually full of love and romance.
Macho sedze is anime about girl-sorceresses. Seilormoon is from this anime.
Kawaii is a drawing style, and features very big eyes, cute furry little animals and beautiful girls. It is one of the most popular style.
As you can see, this is not a single style, cartoon or manga, but a full genre featuring the good, the bad and the ugly, with the original classics, and of course the fans.
